I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Always Sometimes Monsters and The Witcher

  1. The Indian Runner. A slow, brooding film with great interplay between the characters. Good acting, great script, good direction. A rare thing in Hollywood.

  2. The Green Mile because one of most brilliant movies I’ve ever seen and David Morse’s portrayal makes it just that brilliant

  3. OK, I do enjoy David Morse in dancer in the dark! Von Trier always manages to get great performances from his actors, I don’t know of anybody else who could make me watch a musical!

  4. It’s a toughie as I’ve always liked him since his stint in St. Elsewhere. My top film fave for him is probably Proof of Life, seconded by The Green Mile and coming in a close third The Negotiator. Thinking about it he should always be up for Best Supporting Actor? 😉

  5. Contact, because i just love sci-fi movies and the possibilities explored in movies of the way they may try and reach”us” in this case by sending humans the plans for a fantastic “space machine”, a sort of “beam me up scotty” big style 🙂

  6. it would be the the green mile because it is a outstanding 5 star film filled with hate love death and life it is a remarkable masterpiece and i never get tired of watching it.

  7. The Green mile – one of my favourite movies ever. Brilliant performances all round, and an amazing storyline.

  8. I’d also have to say the green mile. He played the part brilliantly!!!The plot was great but its the acting that makes it special.

  9. The Rock, think the casting for this film was excellent, evenif the plot was a bit far fetched, can watch the film again and again

  10. Great question not an easy one to answer as he has been in many good movies. Got to be The Green mile Sam Rockwell, Tom Hanks, David Morse all amazing actors. Chocolate cake scene still makes me laugh

  11. The Green Mile , such a great film & one of those where you want to shout at the tv and say
    he’s innocent for gods sake!
