HorrorCultFilms are sad to announce the death of of one of the most cherished actors around….Richard Attenborough.
The star of such films like Brighton Rock, The Great Escape and his famous role in Jurassic Park, passed away today (Sunday) his son announced tonight.
Attenborough who also won Oscar success for his directing of the much loved classic feature film Gandhi.
Despite starring in many films and being a well loved profession, the last few years has seen Attenborough mostly confined to a wheelchair after an accident in which he fell down a flight of stairs. He was living in a nursery home with his wife.
He started acting at the age of 12 and his career saw him gain a CBE in 1967 and then knighted a mere nine years later in 1976.
He was made a life peer in 1993…….
