Creepy ‘At the Devil’s Door’ clip is just hanging around

At The Devil's Door (2014)

Nicholas McCarthy’s (The Pact) really sinister looking new horror, At the Devil’s Door, is right at the top of my must-see list. I loved The Pact, and when the trailer finally dropped for McCarthy’s latest I was completely sold.

After the really excellent trailer comes a clip from the spooky film, and like the trailer, the clip is genuinely unsettling. It begins normal enough, but some really weird shit is about to go down in the final moments. Check it out below.

While no dates have yet been confirmed for here in the UK, the newly titled At the Devil’s Door will be released in the US on VOD on August 8th, and will then have a small theatrical release on September 12th, courtesy of IFC Midnight.

“After IFC acquired the movie at South by Southwest they floated the idea that a more genre-direct title might help the movie reach its audience,” said McCarthy. “I agreed and came back at them with AT THE DEVIL’S DOOR. I love the title and think it captures what this movie is. I can’t wait to unleash it on to the world!“

At the Devil’s Door is written and directed by Nicholas McCarthy, and the cast includes Naya Rivera, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Ashley Rickards, Wyatt Russell, and Ava Acres.

Synopsis:

When ambitious young real estate agent LEIGH is asked to sell a house with a checkered past, she crosses paths with a disturbed girl whom she learns is the runaway daughter of the couple selling the property. When Leigh tries to intervene and help her, she becomes entangled with a supernatural force that soon pulls Leigh’s artist sister VERA into its web — and has sinister plans for both of them.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
