Alexandre Aja has made a name for himself in the horror genre directing films like The Hills Have Eyes, Switchblade Romance, Piranha 3D and the upcoming Daniel Radcliffe starer, Horns. As a producer he has also delivered some great horror films like 2012’s stunning Maniac remake. He is now responsible for directing a new horror film called The Pyramid.
The film is complete, so expect a trailer soon, but for now we have the very first poster. Fox plan to release the film on 5th December here in the UK and also in the US.
The Pyramid is directed by Gregory Levasseur, with Alexandre Aja producing. Daniel Meersand and Nick Simon wrote the film, and the cast includes Ashley Hinshaw, Denis O’Hare, James Buckley, and Daniel Amerman.
Synopsis:
A team of U.S. archaeologists unearths an ancient pyramid buried deep beneath the Egyptian desert. As they search the pyramid’s depths, they become hopelessly lost in its dark and endless catacombs. Searching for a way out, they become desperate to seek daylight again. They come to realize they aren’t just trapped, they are being hunted.
