Gamecube remake of Resident Evil gets the itchy, tasty HD treatment

Survival horror fans are in for a treat as the phenomenal remake of Resident Evil is currently in the process of getting the ever popular HD upgrade treatment and is due for release in early 2015. So far coming to PS3/4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, however it looks doubtful there’ll be a Wii U release (booo!). Those who have played the Resident Evil remake, will know just how great it looks, and how scary it can be, and with the HD treatment it’s set to look even better. A few screens have been teased so far, but the last game I played from 2002 that had the same work done, ended up being one of the best looking games I’ve ever played (The Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker HD, in case you were wondering).

This comes as quite a surprise from Capcom, and the knee jerk reaction side of me hopes this might be the build up to something new, but in the meantime, it’s great news for those who missed out the first time. To rejoin Chris, Jill and Barry as they are stalked by the Hunters, Crimson Heads and that bloody big shark, in glorious HD, is going to be something special. And absolutely terrifying!
