Just over a week ago the very first, and very awesome teaser trailer landed for Giallo homage, The Editor, and you can view that teaser in all its black gloved killer glory below. Soon after, the announcement was made that the film would open Sheffield’s Celluloid Screams 2014 film festival, and those details can also be found below.

But what we have to show you tonight is a delightful, illustrated and very retro style poster for the film, which is likely to be banned once pesky do-gooders get an eye full of nipple! Enjoy the poster for The Editor (below) before it gets edited itself!

Adam Brooks and Matthew Kennedy’s film is said to be a loving tribute to/parody of the gory giallo thrillers of Mario Bava and Dario Argento.

The cast includes veteran horror actor Udo Kier (who has appeared in a number of Giallo’s himself) along with Tristan Risk, Laurence R. Harvey (The Human Centipede 2), Samantha Hill, Paz De La Huerta and Adam Brooks.

Synopsis:

A one-time (and now one-handed) master film editor toiling in the cinematic sweatshops of 1970s Italy becomes the prime suspect in a series of brutal murders.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
