I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance

  1. I’m a sucker for the Bond films and my favourite has to be OHMSS, it has the way funkiest soundtrack and Lazenby is a much maligned Bond

  2. the matrix 1 and 2 were action packed i loved them expecially the fight scene in 2 where neo fights hundreds of the smith programme awesome

  3. Die Hard. It’s not only the best Christmas movie of all time, but I love the characters and it has Alan Rickman in it!

  4. Mad Max 3: Beyond the Thunderdome was great, I loved the imagination that went into it in a post apocalyptic world. Tina Turner did a fabulous acting part in it and the cage fighting scenes always stuck in my memory as being exciting.

  5. My favourite is a western action movie The Wild Bunch directed by the legendary Sam Peckinpah. This movie is awesome with plenty of really great action pieces throughout. The grand finale cannot be touched as the Wild Bunch meet their ends, but not before dispatching hundreds of Mexican soldiers in an absolute whirlwind of action, For me this movie is a Hollywood legend in its genre.

  6. has to be under siege 2 – the cast hamming it up completely and some excellent hand to hand combat from mr. segal

  7. predator=because its got that whole fighting each other to find out who’s the strongest and those that dont want to fight they are left alone because they are not a challenge, and the whole idea that you can beat someone who is stronger than you if you use your brain

  8. Raiders Of The Lost Ark as I loved Harrison Ford in it & that cannonball coming for him was one of film’s great moments

  9. Terminator 2 as its one of the rare films to be as good as its prequel. Such amazing effects for its time and still a favourite of mine to this day

  10. Gone in sixty seconds. I have no idea why, I just love it. Seen it a dozen times and it STILL gets me on the edge of my seat.

  11. North By Northwest.
Hitchcock was a pioneer of the action genre as well as making suspenseful films. The action sequences he made have been imitated by every great director since.

  12. Taken, the first one. Great movie, real edge of your seat stuff, you want to see him get his daughter back but the action in between is great!

  13. Has to be Predator. Its an action film film but also sci fi/ horror (which i love). Its tense, and action packed from start to finish. And it has the greatest action star of all time… Arnie!

  14. This is difficult as I pretty much love all action movies. However, I will go for Die Hard. It is fun but full of suspense and thrills. It makes the watcher root for John McClane so much. Excellent film.

  15. My favourite action movie is Pulp Fiction, it’s got all the actors and actresses that I adore and the script is just amazing! 🙂
