Writer found for Underworld reboot ‘Underworld: The Next Generation’

Back in March a fifth Underworld film was said to be in the works, and a writer was being hunted to pen the screenplay.

Two years ago Underworld: Awakening was released, and even after four films in the franchise, it did solid business at the box office, and generally fans were happy with the film.

It introduced Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and Michael’s (Scott Speedman) hybrid daughter, and now it sounds like Underworld: The Next Generation will likely see Eve (India Eisley) as the main character, probably taking over from Selene.

According to THR,  a writer has now been found in the shape of Cory Goodman. He has only written two other films, Priest and the upcoming Vin Diesel starer, The Last Witch Hunter.

No other details have been revealed on the fifth Underworld film, and Kate Beckinsale is yet to sign up.

Len Wiseman, who wrote and produced all the previous Underworld film, remains as producer on the fifth film.

More details on this as it develops.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
