Ben Affleck is in a nightmare in new ‘Gone Girl’ TV spot

A new TV spot has been released for David Fincher’s upcoming missing person thriller, Gone Girl, and the full dramatic events can be seen below.

I recently learned that Gone Girl has been passed as an 18 certificate here in the UK, so no doubt there will be some pretty nasty stuff going on here. Having not read the book, I am not sure what to expect, but pushing a thriller to an 18 certificate, along with the great cast, great director and intriguing story, should certainly be a good enough reason to check this film out.

Gone Girl is directed by David Fincher, and written by Gillian Flynn. The cast includes Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit and Carrie Coon.

Affleck and Pike will star as husband and wife, Nick and Amy Dunne, Perry as attorney Tanner Bolt, Dickens and Fugit as detectives and Coon as Affleck’s twin sister Margo.

The film is an adaptation of a story about a killer called Gone Girl, written by Gillian Flynn. Flynn wrote the first draft of the screenplay.

Gone Girl will arrive in UK cinemas on October 3rd 2014.

GONE GIRL – directed by David Fincher and based upon the global bestseller by Gillian Flynn – unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
