From Empire comes a new poster for Christopher Nolan’s shrouded-in-secrecy Interstellar,  featuring star Matthew McConaughey walking across an icy and inhospitable landscape in his space suit, though if it seems a little familiar, it’s because the image was featured in a previous Empire piece on the film, and Nolan liked it so much he decided to turn it into a poster. So this is hardly a big deal, but then Nolan and his team insist on keeping Interstellar as secret as possible, a difficult thing considering the age we live in and how the film is so eagerly awaited by Nolan’s many fans [I can’t say I’m one, but Inception did pleasantly surprise me].

We know this about the story: McConaughey and his crew are sent on a space mission to find a new home for humanity as Earth slowly dies. Presumably, this is a planet he winds up on. We have no clue if this is the potential new Earth, or one of several planets the space team visits during the course of the film, but if this is one of the final contenders humanity could be in for a rough ride. And that’s it.

The film also stars Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Michael Caine, and John Lithgow, and is released on November 7th.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
