Showing a side of Colin Firth we’ve never really seen before, a new trailer has been released for Kingsman: Secret Service, which is one comic book movie I’m actually really looking forward to, director Matthew Vaughn hopefully recapturing the flair and edge he helped bring to Kick-Ass, and the film parodying spy movies as sharply as he parodied superhero movies in the earlier film. The story for this film was created by Vaughn and Mark Millar, who adapted it into a comic with Dave Gibbons. It’s about a a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
Taron Egerton is the directionless kid Eggsy, Colin Firth is Harry Hart the older spy who retruits and trains him, and Samuel L. Jackson is the dastardly villain Valentine. Mark Strong and Michael Caine also feature in the 20th Century Fox film.
Kingsman: The Secret Service will be released on 29th January 2015 in the UK and February 13 in the US.
