BRAD BIRD AND EDGAR WRIGHT HAVE SEEN ‘INTERSTELLAR’, AND THEY LOVE IT

I’m one of those strange people who isn’t overly thrilled about Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar – I’m personally far more excited about the Wachowski’s Jupiter Ascending – and don’t really get all the Nolan love [to me, he’s a good writer and an average director], but there’s no doubt that there is a tremendous amount of buzz about the science-fiction epic, so much so that it’s surprising that we still don’t know that much about it.  However, the film is now fully complete, and, while the critics don’t quite get to see it yet, some private screenings have started to take place.

Brad Bird and Edgar Wright have been amongst those lucky enough to see Interstellar, and their reactions, along with a few others on Twitter who have somehow got to see the film really early, are very positive:

Am I allowed to say that Intersteller is incredible yet [Bird]

Dazzled by the ambition & intelligence of Chris Nolan’s Interstellar. Terrific performances, haunting imagery, WOW. See it in 70MM IMAX [Wright]

My reactions to Wright’s work have been mixed, but I love Bird’s stuff so to my mind he surely knows that he’s talking about. Up to now the only Nolan film that I loved was Inception. Maybe Interstellar will be the second?

Interstellar will open in theaters on 70mm IMAX and 35mm on November 5th, and it opens everywhere else on November 7th.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
