Win DEBUG on Blu-Ray In Our Competition!

debug

Get ready for the hard drive from hell as DEBUG comes to Blu-ray, DVD and digital platforms from November 3rd, 2014 courtesy of Signature Entertainment.

Sent in to deep space as punishment for computer-based crimes, six young hackers are attempting to debug the computer systems of a massive derelict space freighter. While they struggle to clear out the viruses, the team fall prey to the ship’s vengeful artificial intelligence, a programme that would literally kill to be human. As the fractious team is forced to match wits with this rogue programme, they discover that the ship holds a deadly secret – and a fate far worse than death.

Written and directed by the multi-talented David Hewlitt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Cube) and starring Game Of Thrones’ Jason Momoa, DEBUG is a nerve-shredding sci-fi horror that proves that, in space, it doesn’t matter if they can hear you scream…

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Always Sometimes Monsters and The Witcher

  1. I have opted for Douglas Quaid (Arnie) from Total Recall – I opted for him because he goes through a character development from confusion and vulnerability to conviction. Plus where do you see a head in Mars Explode!!!!

  2. Barbarella – who can forget the opening sequence strip scene in zero gravity ! An the rest of the film was so quirky – a true classic

  3. So many to choose from, but I’d have to go with Ellen Ripley from the Alien franchise played so brilliantly by Sigourney Weaver that I can’t imagine anyone else in the role.

  4. Definitely John Murdoch from Dark City. He was strong yet vulnerable, and he could create worlds with his mind. Best movie ever.

  5. Ripley from Alien series, but more interested that ‘Jones’ the cat was ok….we ended up naming our cat Jones in his memory….

  6. Boring I know, but it definitely is Ellen Ripley… I gotta speak from the heart about this and yeah, Ripley, she has it all.

  7. Sigourney Weaver’s Ellen Ripley simply because she’s female, kicks Alien and male chauvinist pigs’ ars*s and is full of attitude. Besides how many girl heroes do we truly get in Sci-Fi that aren’t mostly window dressing?

  8. Dave Lister from Red Dwarf for always getting the ship into trouble, or maybe just Holly (the original played by Hattie Hayridge) for just being so darn sexy, even if you only ever see her head lol.

  9. Han solo from Star Wars, like his attitude.

I would have gone for Rick Deckard from Bladerunner as it is a fantastic film but decided it was SciFi but not a space movie. A shame because it is one of the best SciFi movies ever made.

  10. iv,e just watched alien resurrection , got into the alien films, Sigourney weaver portrays ripley excellenyly good on the edge of the seat films
