A new Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 clip has been unveiled by Lionsgate showing Natalie Dormer, playing Cressida, introducing Katniss [Jennifer Lawrence] to her crew of fellow rebel warriors including Messalla [Evan Ross], Castor [Wes Chatham] and Pollux [Elden Henson]. Though there are some who say that this last book isn’t as good as the others [I haven’t read any of them], and I really don’t like this business of splitting one book into two films, I do rather enjoy this franchise. It’s exciting, creates a convincing future world, has some good performances, and even some intelligence and social commentary.

Part 1 of Mockingjay finds Katniss in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Alma Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss sets out on a mission to save her friend Peeta from Panem’s corrupt leader. Franchise veterans Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks are all back, with Julianne Moore joining the cast as Alma Coin. Francis Lawrence, director of the last one, returns. The film is due out on 21th November.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
