Chris Hemsworth is not afraid in stunning new trailer for ‘In the Heart of the Sea’

It’s been over two months since the first thrilling trailer arrived for director Ron Howard’s take on the Moby Dick legend, In the Heart of the Sea, and now comes a superb new UK trailer.

This new trailer delves a little deeper into the darkness of this version, showing hints of madness from crew members, stress, fear and panic are expressed as a giant Sperm Whale hunts a group of whalers. Chris Hemsworth looks to be the perfect casting choice as tension mounts, and insanity kicks in with his crew while he tries to keep it together. There is also plenty of stunning Whale action on offer in this latest trailer, and I must say that the effects look absolutely perfect.

Howard directs Chris Hemsworth in In the Heart of the Sea, the tale of three whaling boats caught under attack from the giant sperm whale Moby Dick. However, to add the the problems of said sea beast, the crew all face hunger, disease and even cannibalism.
In the Heart of the Sea is directed by Ron Howard, and has been written by Marshall Herskovitz, Rick Jaffa, Charles Leavitt, Peter Morgan and Amanda Silver. The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Tom Holland, Brendon Gleeson, Cillian Murphy, Ben Whishaw, and Jordi Molla.

The film arrives in UK cinemas 13th March 2015.

In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story. “Heart of the Sea” reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
