After screening at a number of festivals this year, including the BFI London Film Festival, director David Robert Mitchell’s It Follows is said to be one of the most terrifying horrors due for release (hopefully) in 2015.

The first trailer has been released for the film, and it is tense, haunting and incredibly frightening as it builds its suspense and utterly chilling atmosphere. Check out the French trailer (in English) below, if you are brave enough!

The movie, directed by David Robert Mitchell (“The Myth of the American Sleepover”) from his own script, centres on a teenager plagued by disturbing visions and the inescapable sense that something is following her after a sexual encounter.

Financed by Animal Kingdom and Northern Lights, the film was produced by Rebecca Green, Laura D. Smith, Mitchell, David Kaplan and Erik Rommesmo. The cast includes Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto, Jake Weary, Olivia Luccardi (“Girls”) and Lili Sepe.

Synopsis:

For 19-year-old Jay (Maika Monroe, AT ANY PRICE, The Guest), the fall should be about school, boys, and weekends at the lake. Yet, after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she suddenly finds herself plagued by nightmarish visions; she can’t shake the sensation that someone, or something, is following her. As the threat closes in, Jay and her friends must somehow escape the horrors that are only a few steps behind.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
