‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ hoping for Best Picture nomination at the Oscars, madness!

Uh yeah, so here is some news to surely brighten up your day by giving you a good laugh: Paramount are hoping their dire Michael Bay directed Transformers: Age of Extinction may get a Best Picture Oscar nomination. Madness? Yes I think so, but fair play for trying.

A “For Your Consideration” poster has been released for the terrible fourth Transformers film, and in big bold writing on the poster is a wishful thinking Best Picture nomination. Below is a further wishlist of nominations the film is hoping to get, and in all fairness, special effects are very worthy of a nomination, but Best Picture? Please!

Take a look at the full list of nomination hopefuls, including Michael Bay for Best Director (!!!!), below.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is directed by Michael Bay, and written by Ehren Kruger. The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Nicola Peltz, T.J. Miller and Li Bingbing.

As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
