Lovecraftian anthology book WEIRDER SHADOWS OVER INNSMOUTH is set to be published on 30th January 2015.
This collection of 17 stories is inspired by the ghoulishly compelling classic, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, created by the 20th century’s master of horror, H.P. Lovecraft. Set in a decayed and forsaken fishing village in Massachusetts, where nothing is as it seems, a young man finds himself in the midst of unspeakable evil. The loathsome inhabitants live at the mercy of their mysterious ancient gods, whilst they themselves resemble a chilling sight having been interbred with strange creatures from beneath the sea. The anthology features short fiction influenced by the dark tale, as well as two contributions by the master himself, all collated by renowned editor Stephen Jones.
The book will contain stories from the following authors: Steve Jones – H.P. Lovecraft – John Glasby – Kim Newman – August Derleth – Reggie Oliver – Adrian Cole – Caitlín R. Kiernan – Angela Slatter – Brian Hodge – Ramsey Campbell – Michael Marshall Smith – Simon Kurt Unsworth – Brian Lumley.
