Announced in May 2013 was that Olivia Wilde and Mark Duplass had joined a new playing with death style horror, Reawakening. Now the film has had a title change to The Lazarus Effect, and a trailer is expected on-line sometime this week.
To tie us over until then (the trailer has been released in US cinemas, and is said to be incredibly creepy) EW got their hands on the first image from the film, and you will find said image above.
The screenplay was written by newcommer Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater (who wrote the screenplay for Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot).
David Gelb directs, and the cast includes Olivia Wilde, Mark Duplass, Evan Peters and Donald Glover.
Synopsis:
The story follows a team of research students that discovers the secret to bringing subjects back from the dead — however, their actions result in a series of sinister consequences.
