The animals made me do it! Here’s the awesome trailer for ‘The Voices’ starring Ryan Reynolds

The Ryan Reynolds starring black comedy, The Voices, seems to have been coming for a very long time, and with the UK release date announced a short while ago, we just knew a trailer was close.

Finally the very first trailer has been released, and it is every bit as brilliant as I was hoping for. Quirky, dark and very funny, Reynolds looks great in the role of Jerry, an unfortunate man who’s animals talk to him and cause him to do horrible things. The trailer brilliantly displays some of the great ideas that could come from such a film, and the animals themselves are hilarious!

Following its fantastic reception at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and Sundance London, ARROW FILMS is delighted to announce the UK cinematic release of black comedy THE VOICES on 20th March, 2015.

Jerry (Ryan Reynolds) works at a bathtub factory and attempts to walk the straight-and-narrow, in spite of his talking pet dog and cat trying to influence him. When he accidentally kills an attractive woman from accounting (Gemma Arterton), he hastily tries to cover his tracks. But Jerry is beyond the reach of his well-meaning psychiatrist Dr. Warren (Jacki Weaver) and Lisa (Anna Kendrick), the only woman he ever truly loved, and spirals into a world of violence where he ultimately finds salvation.

Directed by the award-winning Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis), THE VOICES stars Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, X Men Origins: Wolverine) as Jerry and the voices of Mr Whiskers and Bosco. Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, Into The Woods) and Gemma Arterton (Byzantium, The Duchess Of Malfi) also star alongside Jacki Weaver (The Silver Linings Playbook, Animal Kingdom).

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
