Brace yourself! The ‘Hitman: Agent 47’ trailer is here!

I’m not a big gamer, so I have never played the Hitman games, but the first trailer for the latest adaptation has landed tonight and it doesn’t look too bad.

The main thing that caught my interest was the fact that Rupert Friend (Homeland, Starred Up) is playing the title role, but the actual trailer looks like good, yet rather tacky, fun.

Hitman: Agent 47 is directed by Aleksander Bach, and the cast includes Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Thomas Kretschmann and Ciaran Hinds, and is produced by Chuck Gordon, Adrian Askarieh and Alex Young.

Hitman: Agent 47 will hit UK cinemas on 27th August 2015

HITMAN: AGENT 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research and forty-six earlier Agent clones — endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47?s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.

  1. Whilst I like Rupert Friend, I still think he’s too young for the role, as was Timothy Olyphant. Plus, Agent 47 is a bald assassin and Rupert’s shaved head is really throwing me off because he should have no hair, no shadow, at all. lol. I did however like the bit in the trailer where he changes clothes. My favourite bits of the game are when you get to swipe clothes. I just hope they show 47 popping somebody’s body in a trunk or a cabinet or something. They gotta stay true to the game! My first choice would obviously be David Bateson.
