I loved Wolf Creek, and while I have sadly not managed to see Wolf Creek 2 yet, I have heard that the film is even better than the original, and adds a lot more comedy. Basically, Mick Taylor has become one of the biggest horror villains of recent years, and while fans await a third film (which probably won’t happen as illegal downloading destroyed the sequels profits), we can now all look forward to a TV series instead.
Australian on-demand service Stan announced yesterday that a mini TV series is now in development, and it will see actor John Jarratt return is his iconic role of brutal and twisted outback killer Mick Taylor.
It has also been confirmed that writer and director of the Wolf Creek films, Greg McLean, will develop the series.
No plot details have been announced, but the series is expected to pick up where Wolf Creek 2 left off.
‘Wolf Creek and the character of Mick Taylor have become household names, and the opportunity to tell a rich and complex story in his world in a high-quality drama series is a thrilling creative opportunity,’ McLean said in a statement.
