I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Always Sometimes Monsters and The Witcher

  1. The weaponry produced from the body in Tetsuo: Iron Man. More sci fi/horror, but body horror is always dramatic! Plus, it is probably a metaphor for the damage humans are capable of.

  2. Andromeda because they fight all sorts of aliens with all kinds of technological advancements that I wish I could actually use now.

  3. The Star Trek transporter technology. I’m a terrible traveller and the idea of being able to just transport somewhere almost instantly sounds wonderful.

  4. Has to be the ‘Death Star’ from Star Wars for me. It’s just amazing that such a gigantic planet destroyer was built with such an achilles heel of having a little shaft leading to the surface that if you bung in a little TNT takes the whole shabang out 🙂

  5. It’s a controversial choice, I know, but i think Buck Rogers would have struggled without his trusty little sidekick, Twiki. Ok, Twiki couldn’t walk properly in those bronze shin guards and had an unusually low voice for a little guy but I believe he provided Buck with the emotional and spiritual support he needed to continue his heroic adventures in 21st Century space. We all need a Twiki!

  6. The Tardis .. and if you think it is unrealistic, I have actually seen this technology myself. My Mam’s handbag is like something out of Mary Poppins .. looks small, but inside it has everything from allen keys to umbrellas, and everything inbetween (you will never want for a safety pin while Mam is around, she carries all sizes).
