First trailer for visionary director Tarsem Singh’s ‘Self/less’ looks very impressive

Tarsem Singh is the visionary genius behind films The Cell, The Fall and Immortals, and his latest film, Self/less, has just released its first trailer.

Starring Ryan Rynolds, Ben Kingsley and Matthew Goode, the first trailer is incredible. Running at just shy of three minutes, it never gets dull and is interesting and intriguing from start to finish. There are also plenty of hints at Singh’s signature visual flare in this tale of a man becoming immortal, but at a cost.

I won’t say too much for the trailer does a good job of setting up what looks to be an incredible mindtrip. You will find the trailer and first poster below.

Slef/less is directed by Tarsem Singh and was written by David Pastor and Alex Pastor. The cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Ben Kinglsey, Matthew Goode, Michelle Dockery, Natalie Martinez, Victor Garber and Derek Luke.

In this provocative psychological science fiction thriller, an extremely wealthy man (Academy Award® Winner Ben Kingsley) dying from cancer undergoes a radical medical procedure that transfers his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man (Ryan Reynolds). But all is not as it seems when he starts to uncover the mystery of the body’s origin and the organization that will kill to protect its cause.

Self/less arrives in UK cinemas on 31st July.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
