Has Michael Biehn been asked to appear in Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Alien’ film?

Unless you have been living on some distant planet, possibly overrun with Xenomorph’s, you should know by now that Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) will be directing a fifth Alien film. If you need a bit of a catch up, then click here for all our recent stories.

The new Alien film is based on concept art put together initially as a bit of fun by Blomkamp, who was talking a lot with Sigourney Weaver about a new Alien film while the pair worked together on both Elysium and Chappie. Some of that concept art featured Ripley, and we now know that Weaver is onboard to reprise her role, and hopefully give closure to her character.

The art also featured one of my favourite characters from Aliens Cpl Dwayne Hicks, played perfectly by Michael Biehn, and naturally fans have been eager to find out if indeed Biehn is planning to come back as the tough guy character. We may have an answer for you, but this should be taken with a huge grain of salt!

A Reddit user posted the following earlier today:

“I’m at Pensacon, just now gave Michael a Reece ReAction figure, said “This is yours… one question, have you been contacted for Alien 5?” He looked at me, smiled and said, “Yes.” Holy… shitake…”

Now, while nothing has been officially confirmed this is extremely exciting news should it turn out to be true. Hicks was an incredible character, and Blomkamp’s art shows him as a damaged, scarred man who I should suspect will be even more basdass than before.

Please, please let this become a reality!

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
