New TV spots arrive for ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘Terminator: Genisys’

Tonight we have two very different TV spots to share with you. The spot for Mad Max: Fury Road is a mere sixteen seconds, and gets right to the point with LOTS of explosions.

Secondly comes an extended UK TV spot for Terminator: Genisys, which features the almighty J.K. Simmons showing himself for the first time as Detective O’Brien. Plus there is plenty of cool action and Arnie looking just awesome.

Mad Max: Fury Road

“Mad Max: Fury Road”–the fourth in the franchise’s history–stars Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) in the title role of Max Rockatansky, alongside Oscar(R) winner Charlize Theron (“Monster”, “Prometheus”) as Imperator Furiosa.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” also stars Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: First Class”) as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne (“Mad Max,” “Sleeping Beauty”) as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones (“Conan the Barbarian”) as Rictus Erectus. Collectively known as The Wives, Zoe Kravitz (“X-Men: First Class”) plays Toast, Riley Keough (“Magic Mike”) is Capable, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”) is Splendid. They are joined by supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw as The Dag and Courtney Eaton as Fragile, both of whom are making their big screen debuts. Also featured in the movie are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and singer/songwriter/performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.

The cast is rounded out by well-known Australian actors John Howard, Richard Carter, supermodel Megan Gale, Angus Sampson, Joy Smithers, Gillian Jones, Melissa Jaffer and Melita Jurisic.

George Miller is directing the film from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also produces the film, along with longtime producing partner, Oscar(R) nominee Doug Mitchell (“Babe,” “Happy Feet”), and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers.

The film arrives in cinemas 15th May 2015.

Synopsis:

From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary Mad Max franchise, comes Mad Max: Fury Road, a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max (Tom Hardy) believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa (Charlize Theron). They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

Terminator: Genisys

Terminator: Genisys is written by Laeta Kalogridis (AVATAR, SHUTTER ISLAND) and Patrick Lussier (DRIVE ANGRY). David Ellison and Dana Goldberg (WORLD WAR Z, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS) of Skydance Productions are producing. Executive producers are Skydance’s Paul Schwake (WORLD WAR Z, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS), Annapurna Pictures’ Megan Ellison (AMERICAN HUSTLE, HER), Kalogridis, and Lussier.

Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Game of Thrones) directs.

TERMINATOR: GENISYS stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (THE EXPENDABLES 1 & 2, TERMINATOR 1, 2 & 3), Jason Clarke (THE GREAT GATSBY, ZERO DARK THIRTY), Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”), Jai Courtney (DIVERGENT, JACK REACHER), J.K. Simmons (MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN, UP IN THE AIR), Dayo Okeniyi (THE HUNGER GAMES, THE SPECTACULAR NOW), and Byung-Hun Lee (RED 2, G.I. JOE: RETALIATION).

The TERMINATOR franchise launched in 1984 with Schwarzenegger as the title character and spanned three subsequent films, which have earned more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

Paramount will distribute the film worldwide on July 3rd, 2015.

Synopsis:
