Ready or not, here’s the first ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ trailer and poster

The first teaser trailer for Mission Impossible 5, now titled ‘Rogue Nation’, has been released tonight. The full trailer is arriving tomorrow, but this one minute teaser trailer will blow you away, especially the edge of your seat stunt at the end!

The stunt, which see’s star Tom Cruise holding on to a plane as it takes off, was done for real by Cruise (who insists on doing his own stunts), and judging by the short clip of it in the trailer, this could be the most exciting Mission: Impossible stunt yet.

Cruise spoke with USAToday about this stunt, telling them: “I’ve often sat on airplanes, looked out and thought, ‘What it would be like out there on the wing?’ … That’s me the whole time. I was standing right over the tires when we landed,” Cruise told USA Today. “It’s nerve-racking for everyone else, but pretty exciting for me.” How cool is that!

While no official synopsis has been released, Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie revealed the following to USAToday (who also released the below images):

The new flick finds Hunt’s highly effective but destructive Impossible Mission Force (IMF) disbanded by vengeful Washington bureaucrats such as the CIA chief (played by Alec Baldwin). But Hunt pulls his team together (Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and newcomer Rebecca Ferguson) to battle the shadowy force known as “The Syndicate” and its elusive leader (Sean Harris).

Christopher McQuarrie directs from a screenplay by Drew Pearce, with Tom Cruise reprising the iconic role of Ethan Hunt, who was first introduced to moviegoers in 1996. The project is produced by Cruise through Tom Cruise Productions, Paramount and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, who served as producers on previous films in the hit series. Skydance Productions, who served as co-financers and executive producers of the last installment, worked closely with the team in the development and production process.

“MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL,” the 4th installment in the globally successful franchise, earned nearly $700M around the world and became Cruise’s highest grossing film to date in his storied career.

The “MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE” franchise has earned more than $2B at the worldwide box office, making it one of the most successful franchises in movie history.

Mission: Impossible- Rogue Nation will be released on 30th July 2015. The cast includes Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris, Simon McBurney, and Alec Baldwin.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
