Earlier this month it was discovered that a third Tron film was in development, and that director Joseph Kosinski and star Garrett Hedlund were both returning.
It has now been revealed that the third Tron film will shoot between October this year, and February next year, but at this point no additional cast names have been announced.
What has been unwrapped though, is the films title, according to Production Weekly. Their Tweet about the film going into production (below) states that the film will be called Tron: Ascension:
Joseph Kosinski’s TRON: ASCENSION is planning to film in Vancouver from Early-October 2015 thru February 2016. https://t.co/ihBaFAc3O5

In Tron: Legacy, Hedlund played Sam Flynn, the son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) who was the main character of the first film, and also appeared in the 2010 sequel.
I actually enjoyed Tron: Legacy, and while it was met with a mixed reception, it did OK business at the worldwide box office, making $400 million on a budget of $170 million. A third film will certainly be welcomed by me.
