TV: Chloe Sevigny returns in ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ as a series regular

While we know nothing of the fifth season of American Horror Story’s plot, we do know that it is titled Hotel, and we also know a few names that have been added to the cast.

Series creator Ryan Murphy has now confirmed via Twitter that Chloe Sevigny will return to the show, as a series regular.

Sevigny was last seen in Asylum as Shelley, and while her part then was limited, it sounds like she will be getting a much more significant role in Hotel as she has been upped to series regular.

Wes Bentley, who first appeared on the series in Freak Show as Edward Mordrake, will also return as a series regular.

Matt Bomer, who played Andy in Freak Show, and Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock) have joined the cast, although their characters have not been revealed. Lady Gaga was also recently cast in the series.

Jessica Lange will not be returning.

Series creator Ryan Murphy has promised to keep details on the next series secret for now, but he did drop hints that Freak Show offered some teases to the new season, most notably that a top hat on Maggie’s (Emma Roberts) coffee cup in Episode 4 was an “arcane” but “purposeful” clue.

Murphy has also revealed that all five seasons are in some way connected.

American Horror Story: Hotel will begin in October on FX.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
