Arnie made a promise in first emotional ‘Maggie’ clip

Arnold Schwarzenegger has shared the first clip from his upcoming zombie thriller, Maggie, ahead of the films premiere. We have the clip below to show you.

In a new type of role for Arnie, the clip is full of emotion, and we see Arnie as a broken man for wanting to save his daughter, who has become a zombie. The film looks terrific, with Arnie taking on a bold, brave role which he appears to have nailed.

Maggie, stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (the Terminator andExpendables franchises, Total Recall, Batman and Robin), Academy Award-nominated Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, Ender’s Game) and Joely Richardson (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the hit TV series The Tudors and Nip/Tuck).

The Black List script by John Scott 3 is directed by Henry Hobson. Bill Johnson and Ara Keshishian produced alongside Colin Bates, Joey Tufaro, Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Matthew Baer and Schwarzenegger. Claudia Blumhuber and Jim Seibel are executive producers. Silver Reel and Gold Star Films financed the film.

While no dates have been confirmed for the UK, the US release date has been confirmed as May 8th.

Synopsis:

There’s a deadly zombie epidemic threatening humanity, but Wade (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a small-town farmer and family man, refuses to accept defeat even when his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) becomes infected. As Maggie’s condition worsens and the authorities seek to eradicate those with the virus, Wade is pushed to the limits in an effort to protect her. Joely Richardson co-stars in this post-apocalyptic thriller.
