Blade Runner 2 scribe to write the ‘Wolverine’ sequel

I can’t say I was overly impressed with James Mangold’s The Wolverine: it started off well, but just turned into a long, dull film which rarely escalated to levels of anything but extremely average. A shame as it looked really good from the trailers.

Mangold is returning to direct the as yet untitled sequel, and Huge Jackman will return to play Wolverine for probably the last time, so that in itself makes this a bit of an event movie.

The Wrap is now reporting that Blade Runner 2 and The Green Lantern writer Michael Green has been hired to write the sequel.

Per The Wrap:

Michael Green is returning to comic book movie territory to write “Wolverine” for 20th Century Fox. Green is currently working on the action-packed script with Mangold’s input.

Green recently worked with Fox, as he was brought on to revise Jack Paglen’s script for Scott’s sci-fi sequel “Prometheus 2.” He was also one of four writers credited on Ryan Reynolds‘ “Green Lantern” movie, and wrote the “Blade Runner” sequel with original writer Hampton Fancher, based on an idea by Fancher and producer Ridley Scott.

The Wolverine sequel is due in cinemas on 3rd March 2017.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
