Get a lot deader with this ‘Suburban Gothic’ poster

It’s been four months since the last trailer for director Richard Bates Jr’s (Excision) bizarre horror comedy, Suburban Gothic, and while here in the UK we are yet to get any release details, we can now share with you a cool US one-sheet.

It’s grainy, a bit old school and very Pulp Fictiony, and I like it. It stands out, its in your face and I really like the quote at the bottom of the images. It’s much better than the original poster which is also below.

Check out the poster, and a reminder of the trailer below.

Suburban Gothic is directed and co-written by Richard Bates Jr, with Mark Bruner co-writing. The cast includes Matthew Gray Gubler, Kat Dennings, Ray Wise, Sally Kirkland, Jeffrey Combs and John Waters.

Raymond has a prestigious MBA, but he can’t find work. He can channel the paranormal, but chatting with a cute girl mystifies him. Kicked out of his big city apartment, Raymond returns home to his overbearing mother, ex-jock father, and beer-bellied classmates. But when a vengeful ghost terrorizes the small town, the city-boy recruits Becca, a badass local bartender, to solve the mystery of the spirit threatening everyone’s lives.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
