Here’s your first look at Jared Leto’s The Joker in ‘Suicide Squad’

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has Tweeted the very first image of Jared Leto as The Joker, and you will find the insane image above and below.

It is a far cry from Heath Ledger’s classic performance, and thankfully both Ayer and Leto have distanced themselves from any comparison by creating a Joker that looks totally different, and utterly deranged. This is good, this is very good…

David Ayer (End of Watch, Sabotage, Fury) will write and direct.

Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman said in a statement: “The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one. David Ayer returns to the studio where he wrote Training Day and brings his incredible ability to craft multidimensional villains to this iconic DC property with a cast of longtime Warner collaborators Will Smith, and other new and returning favorites: Margot, Jared, Jai and Cara. We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

Charles Roven (Man of Steel) is producing, with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson, and Geoff Johns onboard as executive producers.

Here is how the line-up of actors now looks:

Jared Leto – The Joker

Will Smith – Deadshot

Joel Kinnaman – Rick Flag

Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn

Jai Courtney – Boomerang

Cara Delevingne – Enchantress

Viola Davis – Amanda Waller

Jesse Eisenberg – Lex Luthor (rumoured)

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
