Monstrous things lurk in the woods in official ‘Dark Was The Night’ trailer

The teaser trailer was intense and creepy, and now finally the official full length trailer for Dark Was The Night has arrived, and its terrific.

Building intense atmosphere and an unrelenting sense of dread, the fear of something lurking in the woods is brilliantly recognised in this superb trailer. Thankfully, we will get some monster action from this film, and even better, the trailer holds back on showing anything, hopefully keeping the beast hidden until the film arrives.

Dark Was the Night is directed by Jack Heller, and was written by Tyler Hisel. The cast includes Kevin Durand, Lukas Haas, Bianca Kajlich, Sabina Gadecki, Steve Agee, Heath Freeman and Nick Damici.

Maiden Woods is a remote and quiet town of decent, hard-working people, but something stirs in the dark woods surrounding this isolated community. After a logging company decimates an area of the forest, a rash of increasingly violent and unexplainable events transpires. Sheriff Paul Shields (Kevin Durand) and his deputy (Lukas Haas) struggle to confront their own personal demons while facing down a new breed of raw terror that is possibly older than humanity itself… And much, much hungrier.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
