Onset photos and video give another look at ‘Suicide Squad’s’ The Joker, played by Jared Leto

A batch of photos from the set of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad has given fans another glimpse of Jared Leto’s The Joker, and a video also shows the villain in action, dishing out an almighty slap.

The pics and video show The Joker in a confrontation with Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). The scene in question appears to be a flashback sequence with Robbie portraying psychiatrist Dr Harleen Quinzel and demanding the Joker gets out of the car.

In Batman lore, Quinzel later becomes infatuated with the Joker and adopts the alter ego Harley Quinn.

David Ayer (End of Watch, Sabotage, Fury) will write and direct Suicide Squad.

Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman said in a statement: “The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one. David Ayer returns to the studio where he wrote Training Day and brings his incredible ability to craft multidimensional villains to this iconic DC property with a cast of longtime Warner collaborators Will Smith, and other new and returning favorites: Margot, Jared, Jai and Cara. We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

Charles Roven (Man of Steel) is producing, with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson, and Geoff Johns onboard as executive producers.

Here is how the line-up of actors now looks:

Jared Leto – The Joker

Will Smith – Deadshot

Joel Kinnaman – Rick Flag

Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn

Jai Courtney – Boomerang

Cara Delevingne – Enchantress

Viola Davis – Amanda Waller

Jesse Eisenberg – Lex Luthor (rumoured)

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
