Three massive pieces of Twin Peaks news were revealed yesterday by actresses Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee, during a Twin Peaks panel at Crypticon.

The actresses were able to confirm that not only has director David Lynch sorted out his issues with bringing the show back, but he will now direct a whopping eighteen episodes for the third season, not nine as originally planned.

It was also stated that shooting will begin in September!

The location of filming will once again be the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, including North Bend and Snoqualmie, WA. Twede’s cafe (above) in North Bend will again be transformed into the Double R Diner, so expect to see plenty of fine coffee and cherry pie.

Lastly, it was revealed that long time Twin Peaks (and regular David Lynch collaborator) music composer Angelo Badalamenti will return to create more offbeat music for the new series.

These are huge reveals, and fans have a lot to take in here. Fenn and Lee said beyond this they knew nothing else about the return of Twin Peaks, but I am sure this incredibly exciting news will suffice until the next big reveal!

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
