The first teaser trailer for Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension arrived yesterday, and now comes the full length trailer in all its ferociously creepy glory.
The Paranormal Activity series has had ups and downs, with Part 3 seeing a series high, and Part 4 being a series low, but then came the spin-off, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, and life was injected into the series, with some really cool ideas.
What is said to be the final film in the series, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension has now unleashed its full length trailer, and believe it or not, it actually looks really good.
So why leave it till now to answer all the questions, and finally release what appears to be a really great Paranormal Activity film? And should this live up to the promise of the superb trailer below, do we really want this to be the end?
The trailer ups the anti of all previous films in the series, and it appears that the Paranormal Activity series will be going out on a high.
In an interview with USAToday, producer Jason Blum revealed that the franchise will end with The Ghost Dimension:
“It’s coming to an end. This is it, the finale,” says producer Jason Blum to the paper. “We’re saying it before the movie opens. We’re not going to grind this horror franchise into the ground. This will keep Paranormal Activity as part of this culture and this particular time in a really fantastic way. We couldn’t go just teasing. All the questions that everyone has asked from the past Paranormal Activity films – What does Toby look like? What’s the backstory to the families? – These questions have been teased out. Now they will be answered.”
Blum continued to talk about Toby:
“We’ve done well without showing Toby, being able to create tensions and scares based on audiences’ imagination,” says producer Oren Peli, “but people are very curious.”
Gregory Plotkin makes his directorial debut with Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, and Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark have written the screenplay.
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension will be release in 3D on 30th October in UK cinemas.
The Ghost Dimension, directed by Gregory Plotkin, follows a new family, the Fleeges — father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) — who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage. When they look through the camera’s lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them — including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.
