Denis Villeneuve’s (Prisoners, Enemy) new thriller, Sicario, went down a storm at Cannes earlier this year, and is now gearing up for its big cinema release.
A new trailer has been released, which is basically a shorter version of the first trailer, and its intense as hell. Villeneuve has really proved himself as a director to watch, and on the evidence of what we can see in both this, and the full length trailer, Sicario somehow see’s the director up his game yet again.
Sicario has become one of my most anticipated films of the year.
Sicario, written by Taylor Sheridan, is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Enemy). The cast includes Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro and Jon Bernthal.
The arrives in UK cinemas on 25th September.
Synopsis:
In Mexico, SICARIO means hitman.
In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent [Emily Blunt] is enlisted by an elite government task force official [Josh Brolin] to aid in the escalating war against drugs.
Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past [Benicio Del Toro], the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.
