I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: GTA Online & Mortal Kombat 11

  1. The original dawn of the dead when the hands come out of the walls, made me jump a mile the first time i watch the film 😯

  2. It has always been the Clu Gulager scene from Return of the Living Dead when they finally pin the medical warehouse zombie down and he delivers a pick axe to the brain, only for it to keep struggling away. One of the two guys say “You missed!”, and Clu shouts back “I hit the fucking brain!”. Then out comes the hacksaw!

  3. At the beginning of Dawn of the Dead(2004) when the zombie girl attacks, how she runs side-ways is freaky.

  4. OMG there are sooo many!, hmm the one that sticks in my mind is night of the living dead ‘they’re coming to get you barbara’ its so iconic and you know there’s trouble ahead, every time I hear it I smile 🙂

  5. not quite a true zombie film, but the whole choreography of the Michael Jackson video for Thriller featuring the zombies was really good to watch

  6. The dawn of the dead when they are just sitting on top of a supermarket seeing who could shoot he most zombies for fun

    • Warm Bodies when the hero gets shot in the swimming pool and bleeds, which meant that he’s turned into a human again

  7. The bit in Zombi 2 where the rotting hand (of the zombie which was watching the woman in the shower) bursts through the door she’s trying to close and “helpfully” guides the woman’s eye onto a pointed shard.

  8. It’s a toss up between the scene in the pub scene – hitting the landlord in time to Queen – in Shaun of the Dead and the scene in the original (and proper!) Dawn of the Dead when they fly away in the helicopter and you just see all the zombies wandering round below.

  9. Shaun of the Dead – the ‘drunk’ female zombie in the garden before Shaun as realized the zombie apocalypse.

  10. Kill Zombie is a very cheezy Dutch zombie movie, I like the scene when they are outside the garage in the limo, made me laugh!

  11. The fight scene in Shawn of the Dead on the garden, where they kill their first zombies (and take a souvenir photo).

  12. I absolutely cried with laughter at Shaun of the Dead when they were sorting out their records as to which ones to throw at the zombies. I love that film, it’s hilarious. :

  13. I love the scene in World War Z where the zombies attack on the plane leaving Jerusalem-so fast and shocking

  14. George A Romero’s Dawn of the dead (1978) The scene where Roger is filling up the helicopter with fuel unaware that a zombie is slowly scaling boxes looking for a snack. Roger turns around and the zombie stands up on a box only to receive a rotor blade labotomy. 🙄 😆

  15. Night of the Living Dead Remake when Barbara batters the fat zombie with a fire poker. I was so glad when I first watched this that they had toughened Barbara up as opposed to the remake where she was a screaming wreck for the entire film.

  16. The original Dawn Of The Dead when one of the biker gang is too busy playing on the “love tester” machine to notice the horde of zombies encroaching on him!

  17. It has be the scene in Resident evil Apocalypse when they are searching the school for the little girl and the woman gets attacked by all the zombie kids in the class room.

  18. The opening scenes of ‘Sean of the Dead’ where Sean walks across the street to buy his milk and papers totally oblivious to the fact that everyone around him had become walking zombies. I feel exactly like that most mornings when I look at people on the way to work 😉

  19. Braindead when Lionel slaughters a horde of zombies with a giant rotor-blade attached to his chest….gore galore!

  20. “Night of the Living Dead” (original) – the first appearnce of the zomkbie in the cemetary, all is sweetness and light until then….

  21. The scene in Shaun of the Dead where Shaun and Ed are at home, still not realising there are zombies and the zombie girl is in the garden Shaun’s line ‘oh my God! she’s so drunk’ brilliant

  22. the garden scene from shaun of the dead where they are throwing the vinyl records at the zombies, hilarious

  23. Juke box scene in Shawn of the Dead – that whole film is excellent but love the use of Queen in that bit x

  24. The part in World War Z where the zombies are stacking up against the wall and then start jumping over…creepy!

  25. The zombies climbing the wall in world war z I think they made a brilliant job of filming that it looks good.

  26. The early bit in 28 days later where Selena’s partner gets bitten and she doesn’t even hesitate, just hacks him to death. It was a bit of a shock

  27. Shaun of the Dead – when they are checking the records and chucking them at the zombies in the garden 🙂

But honourable mention also goes to Flight of the Living Dead – the whole film is fab and an interesting take on the whole zombie genre – deffo worth a watch if you havent seen it 🙂
