John Goodman will teach a giant gorilla about the rules in ‘Kong: Skull Island’

Great news as Deadline confirms that John Goodman has joined the cast of Kong: Skull Island. He is taking the role of Randa, a government official who leads an expedition. Goodman vs a giant gorilla is just the perfect combination, and let’s hope Kong doesn’t step over the line, or he WILL be in trouble!

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) and written by John Gatins (Flight) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla), KONG: SKULL ISLAND will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island.

The cast also includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson (Room), Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly. The project is expected to go before the cameras this fall.

The story is about a man (Hiddleston) who travels to the mythical island and home of the king of the apes. A team of explorers ventures inside what they find to be a treacherous island. The story is said to honor the King Kong lore but in a different time period. This project has been a priority for Legendary Pictures, whose John Jashni and Thomas Tull are producing along with Mary Parent.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
