With the undead continuing to rule the horror genre, and with Fear The Walking Dead and the upcoming sixth season of The Walking Dead keeping interest high, we now have the first trailer for What We Become. The film is the debut feature of director Bo Mikkelsen, and the trailer is strong stuff.

It takes a while before it really kicks in an delivers some great moments of menace and terror, and for a debut feature, this looks magnificent. The film will have its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on 27th September, with additional screenings planned at the BFI and Sitges film festivals.

What We Become is written and directed by Bo Mikkelsen, and the cast includes Mille Dinesen, Mikael Birkkjær, and Troels Lyby.

The summer is shaping up to be perfect for the Johansson family. The weather is gorgeous, and the community warm and friendly. Even teenaged Gustav is feeling good about life in general, thanks to the new girl who has just moved in across the street. But this perfect suburban life is abruptly shattered by the arrival of a mysterious virus. Unexplained deaths are followed by panic and a full lockdown, families sealed into their homes by patrolling bio-suited soldiers. With things quickly escalating and no information forthcoming, it isn’t long before Gustav takes matters into his own hands.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
