TV: The Devil Inside director to take charge of horror series ‘Haunted’

Many didn’t like The Devil Inside, but I did, and any project director William Brent Bell attaches himself to gets me excited. Deadline is now reporting that Bell will write, direct and executive produce a horror TV series for Fox called Haunted.

The series is based on the book The Demon of Brownsville Road, and Chris Morgan (Fast and Furious 7, The Vatican Tapes) will executive produce.

Per Deadline:

Loosely based on the Bob Cranmer book The Demon of Brownsville Road, Haunted is described as a chilling horror series about a military agent who is partnered with her ex-boyfriend, now a rogue demonologist, to help a family overcome a deadly demonic infestation of their home. The season-long case investigates the true story of one the most haunted houses in America. The believer-vs.-nonbeliever duo, by solving the mystery of the present, will solve the mystery of their damaged past. At its core the series will explore the age-old question, “Is evil real?”

Ainsley Davies also executive produces, while Lisa Arianna serves as a producer. 20th Century Fox TV, where Morgan is based, is the studio. Morgan is repped by ICM Partners and attorney Jeff Frankel. Bell is with ICM Partners and attorney is Peter Sample. Arianna is with ICM Partners.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
