Official UK Poster Revealed For Eli Roth’s THE GREEN INFERNO

Master of horror Eli Roth (Aftershock, Hostel, Cabin Fever) brings his trademark brand of twisted gore to the screen once again with the new shock cannibal film – THE GREEN INFERNO. Having been exclusively revealed on Empire, the official UK poster has been unveiled.

Eye-gouging, torso-stripping, tongue-slicing, head-popping… welcome back Eli! The gorehounds’ master returns with his most shocking recipe to date. This stomach-churning nod to cult classic Cannibal Holocaust is essential viewing for those only just discovering the Video Nasty. Eli, who revolutionized the horror genre, returns with even more guts than ever to deliver this year’s new nightmare.

The film tells the tale of a group of student activists from New York who travel to South America on a trip of a lifetime to help save a tribe in danger of extinction. Disaster strikes when the plane they are travelling in crashes into the Amazon jungle and they are taken hostage by the natives that they had intended to protect. The group face a harrowing struggle to escape the tribe they’ve been brutally captured by, witnessing the ritualistic murders of their friends and eventually turning on each other in order to survive.

THE GREEN INFERNO is Roth’s first directorial feature since 2007’s Hostel: Part Two and stars Lorenza Izzo (Aftershock), Daryl Sabara (John Carter, Halloween, Spy Kids), Ariel Levy (Aftershock), Kirby Bliss Blanton (Project X, Scar) and Sky Ferreira. Based on a script co-written with Guillermo Amodo (Aftershock), and produced by Molly Conners (Killer Joe, Welcome to the Punch), THE GREEN INFERNO is one of the most anticipated horror films of 2016.

THE GREEN INFERNO will play in select UK cinemas 12th February and will be available on DVD & Blu-ray 22nd February 2016.

I love practical effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Tembo: The Badass Elephant, Yakuza Zero and Payday 2.
