After two weeks of reigning at the box-office, insiders are tipping Melissa McCarthy to knock Batman V Superman off the top of the box office with her new film The Boss.
Its been estimated that the superhero flick will drop by another 50% revenue this week, a worrying trend since the opening first week, but considering its already taking a massive £700m worldwide, WB and DC will not be that upset and despite the film being a critical flop, it has done well at the box office!
Hardcore Henry which is being tipped to be action classic is also out this week, and that is expected to take further money from Zack Snyder’s film.
The drop of revenue since opening week is a major factor that Warner Bros are looking into, which has resulted in a £10m re-shoot for the next film Suicide Squad, with insiders are saying “is being done to make the film more lighter” after the feedback that Batman’s showdown with Superman was too dark.
Will the fallout between the critics and fans carry on through David Ayer’s tale of Super Villains or will Jared Leto’s Joker steal the love back?
We have to wait and see!
