Latest Movies: What did Ben Affleck really think of the negative mess of Batman V Superman?

So much has been written over Batman V Superman that we ourselves at HCF have shielded away from it over the last few weeks because what more can be said?

Not a day goes by when another negative headline hits us in the office but having given our opinion with two reviews, one slating the mess, the other praising it, there is not a fan out there now who does not know that Warner Bros are in a panic over the film that was supposed to usher in a Marvel like universe for the company.

We now know that its very unlikely that the film will hit the magical £1 billion at the box office, (it currently stands just under £850m), but with a DVD Unrated cut to be released, we expect the film to make more of its money when it hits the home market.

Birth Movies Death who have been coming out with some pretty good reliable news stories of the franchise of late, have carried a report that states how unhappy Ben Affleck was over the critical reaction of the film.

The report had this to say:

“My sources have told me that Affleck was incredibly unhappy about the reception of BvS. He felt humiliated after spending so much of the press tour saying how much better this film would be than Daredevil. On top of that his agent was furious when Kevin Tsujihara jumped the gun and announced him as the director of The Batman – there were still negotiations happening

We have all seen the now famous SadFleck viral that went viral and its pretty obvious Affleck would have been upset after putting all his heart into the film and character which lets be honest, was the best part of the entire mess.

With him now serving as an Executive Producer on Justice League and having a creative control over his solo Batman film, Affleck may have the last laugh to those with doubts and I personally believe that his own adventure as the Dark Knight will be a movie to really look forward too.
