I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Always Sometimes Monsters and The Witcher

  1. The Good Son. Rented this over 20 years and was blown away by Macaulay Culkin’s creepy performance as the psychopathic protagonist…as far removed from his irritating Home Alone character as you could hope.

  2. I remember watching a young Rory Culkin in ‘Signs’ and thought he’d turn into a very decent young actor.

  3. Home Alone! It’s fun for all the family and it reminds me of Christmas – the best time of year!

  4. Home alone becauseit is a good christmas film and all the family like it and all the different trapa he makes

  5. Kieran Cukin in Sxott Pilgrim vs the World. His quick dry wit humour stands out in the film as he still every scene.

  6. Home Alone – the original one of its genre as its the only one featuring the Culkins – but wasnt a great film!

  7. I was going to say The Good Son but since everyone else has said that I’d say the second best Culkin film would be Scream 4. I love all the scream films but this one was definitely the most goriest and disturbing out of all of them.

  8. The Good Son.was an intriguing psychological thriller. Who knew that sweet Macaulay Culkin could pay a psychopath so well?

  9. Whisper it but “Home Alone” with Macauley Culkin still has the ability to have me coughing and wheezing with laughter. That’s got far more to do with Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern though.

  10. The original Home Alone starring Macaulay was a perfect introduction to the naughty but brave Kevin and the fuel to many a child’s imagination.

  11. Home Alone, such a funny movie and always reminds me of my childhood (watching the movie – not being left to defend my house from criminals)!

  12. I have to agree with most of the comments – Home Alone is a great family film starring Macaulay Culkin and his brother Kieran but also Uncle Buck with Macaulay and the late great John Candy

  13. One of my favourite films ever is Signs (with Rory Culkin). Just love the kids in their tin foil hats!

  14. Kieran Culkin in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I love that movie so much and it’s my son’s favourite film of all time!

  15. I loved Signs. It was the first horror/sci fi film I went to see in the cinema and it spooked me for weeks!
