Win BLOOD RAGE on Arrow Video Dual Format In Our Competition!

To celebrate the release of Blood Rage – out Dual Format 23rd Jan. 2017 – we are giving away a copy courtesy of Arrow Video!

What do you get if you combine Thanksgiving, American TV star Louise Lasser (Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman), killer ’80s synths and some truly gruesome special effects courtesy of Ed French (Terminator 2: Judgement Day)? Why, it’s Blood Rage of course!

Twins Todd and Terry seem like sweet boys – that is, until one of them takes an axe to the face of a fellow patron at the local drive-in. Todd is blamed for the bloody crime and institutionalised, whilst twin brother Terry goes free. Ten years later and, as the family gathers around the table for a Thanksgiving meal, the news comes in that Todd has escaped. But has the real killer in fact been in their midst all along?

Shot in 1983 but not released until 1987, Blood Rage is a gloriously gruesome slice of ’80s slasher heaven – now restored from the original negative for its world Blu-ray debut.

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: GTA Online & Mortal Kombat 11

  1. Would love to see former Doctor Who assistant Karen Gillan in a Slasher movie. She can seem vulnerable, but where needed she also has the fight to come back as the final girl.

  2. I’d like to see David Neilson aka “Roy Cropper” from Coronation Street fame. A great character actor portraying a somewhat sweet and innocent man that never caught up to live in the modern world that is often nasty and unforgiving.

  3. Jesper Christensen – a versatile Danish veteran of many TV shows and films. Would be interesting to see him in a horror role.

  4. Sue Barker, can’t stand the women and I’ll never know if I like tennis thanks to her (assume you wanted a person who is slashed not the slasher?).

  5. Alan Carr…I can see him mincing about screaming being chased by a maniacal television viewer and it would be in his nightmares so would happen in a slightly different way night after night 😉

  6. Jennifer Aniston, because she is so beautiful nobody would suspect that she can turn into a mad murderous killer by night.

  7. I came here to say Piers Morgan and I see I am with kindred spirits 😉 Why? I think it’d be very satisfying to see him scared witless

  8. I would nominate Rachel Riley as I don’t think I’ve met anyone who wouldn’t come to rescue her in some zombie / ghost related hero scenario!

  9. Nicholas Cage. I enjoyed watching Nicholas Cage in Ghost Rider and think he would be great in a true slasher movie

  10. Katie Hopkins. The gorier her death the better. What the hell, throw in Piers Morgan too. Both of them are a waste of blood.

  11. Hugh Laurie as it would be such a different role for him to play. Plus he was a great baddie in The Night Manager.

  12. Dunno if she counts as a tv star although she’s never off it – Nicola Sturgeon AKA Chucky – would love to see her despatched …..most annoying politican ever !

  13. Tom Hardy – just because he makes a great villian. Although the “girlie” part of me just wants to see him in another film lol.
