After an eerie mist rolls into a small town, the residents must battle the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity.

Though a flop on release, Frank Darabont’s 2007 movie The Mist has become a favourite of many and I loved it myself. A new trailer for the ten episode TV series of the same name based on the same Stephen King novella  has arrived, and it’s fast, exciting, gory….and could almost be a trailer for a certain other horror TV series….which is rather ironic, since Darabont was one of the chief developers of that series in its early days before being controversially fired during season two, causing him to file a lawsuit against AMC which may lead to a trial. At least it looks very different from the movie which had a 1950’s feel to it, and, considering that the novella was open-ended, they can just go on and on with this story if season one is a success.

The Mist will premiere on June 22, 2017. Alyssa Sutherland, Isiah Whitlock Jr, Bill Carr, Holly Deveaux and Gus Birney star.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
