Moving from one of today’s best filmmakers to another, we’re still three months away from the release of Darren Aronofsky’s psychological horror-thriller Mother!, but the filmmaker is already setting up his next project. According to The Tracking Board, Paramount, who produced Mother! and Noah, has purchased an untitled script by Joe Epstein for Aronofsky to direct. Details about the script are scarce, but it’s definitely a courtroom drama that involves artificial intelligence….which sounds interesting at least. Aronofsky will also produce.
In the meantime we have Mother!, about “a couple whose lives are disturbed by the arrival of uninvited guests to their home”, which is quite a vague synopsis really. Aronofsky doing horror sounds great, he’s also written the script, and he has a fantastic cast in Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian Gleeson, Stephen McHattie and Kristen Wiig. It’s out on October 13th.
