Yes indeed, though it’s a case of “blink and you’ll miss him” as his Nelson character from the original 1990 version  skulks in the background while Ellen Page’s Courtney talks about what happens when we die. Other than that, the 30-second teaser just seems to show us clips that we’ve seen before. I’m ambivalent about this ‘sequel-feel reboot’. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the original, I thought it was quite fun but squandered its great potential, but I am literally yawning as  I type this about yet another remake of a film which is certainly a bit of a cult favourite

Flatliners will once again follow the lives of five medical students who embark on a daring experiment by stopping their hearts for short periods, unaware that it will trigger a series of awesome powers as well as unfortunate experiences.

It’s directed by Niels Arden Oplev, written by Ben Ripley and Pete Filardi, and stars Nina Dobrev, Ellen Page, Diego Luna, James Norton, Kiefer Sutherland, Kiersey Clemons, Beau Mirchoff.

It arrives in cinemas September 29th.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
